User talk:Yaroslav Blanter

Thanks for the reply. But I haven't yet received any communication regarding the same. I am waiting for it. There was a message from Manuel Schneider about checking the possibility of having his proposal also as part of the workshop that we planned. In that case that needs to discussed and planned so that it will benefit all. There was another proposal, in fact a presentation, about a new application (Wiki2Cd) that can be used for creating Wikipedia CD. Our aim (Walkerma and I )is not to focus on a particular application. But we will cover all the aspects of offline and alternate applications. A special focus on non-latin languages will be there, since there are lot issues when it comes to non-latin languages for all the off line and alternate solutions.--Shijualex 15:57, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

submission

Hi Yaroslav, I probably just can't find it, but it seems to me that this submission has not been included in the review process... Pundit 07:55, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

extension external reviews

Hi Yaroslav. Just a quick comment on the closing of external reviews page. We got the announce on June 4, and the page has been closed around 7.40 a.m. today (June 7). Indeed, it was clearly stated that June 6 was the deadline for reviewing, but in many other situations, that usually means "Apia time", that is, till today at 2.00 p.m. in EU CEST. In any case, I've seen that maybe due to the weekend and the short time elapsed from original announcement to closing, not many reviews have been submitted. So, I wonder if an extension can be granted. Thanks. GlimmerPhoenix 08:25, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

External Review protection

Hi Yaroslav Blanter, I think you protected the External Review page only from Anonymous editing. I can still edit that page. Please verify.--Shijualex 14:12, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yaroslav, I must've missed the email, but I just looked at the results page and my submission has been accepted as a talk! Thank you!! Sorry, I haven't checked for so long. Can I still give my talk? --Charles Jeffrey Danoff 05:23, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, if it has been accepted, the idea was that indeed you give a talk. Please add your 30-word summary and indicate that you are going to attend, we are currently trying to compile the program.--Yaroslav Blanter 08:42, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Yaroslav. I have confirmed and added my 30-word summary. Beyond registering, what is my next step? --Charles Jeffrey Danoff 05:25, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not sure but probably booking your flight and accomodation. Concerning the presentation, keep checking the same Results page, at some point we will assign the talk durations (20 vs 30 minutes) and organize them into sessions.--Yaroslav Blanter 07:50, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
