easychair vs. wiki

Hi Erik, thanks for suggesting this improvement. We decided to go for Easy Chair since some people (outside of the community) may not be really comfortable with wikitext (try to copy & paste an already-written proposal in, say, Microsoft Word there). It could be also beneficial to have some consitency re layout and size of the proposals. However, wiki might be a workable alternative. EasyChair offers a nice way to review the proposals; we need to quickly check how proposals can be fed in to one review process (wiki to easychair or easychair to wiki?) given we'd go with both tools. Btw. I have removed the mention of the un-conference from the CfP for now, we need to discuss this more since this was a bit surprising to me.  « Saper // @talk »  22:15, 18 April 2010 (UTC)

Hello Saper, I'm not familiar with Easy Chair; if it's a workable solution for you then please don't hesitate to revert back to the old submission scheme. At the Wikimedia Conference in Berlin there have been some ad hoc meetings with people like Delphine, Marek, Samuel etc., to discuss the state of Wikimania and especially the need to accelerate the development of a conference program. The CfP is very late now, already too late to have a proper review process and to give people enough time for making their travel arrangements. That's why we discussed the possibility of a lightweight on-wiki CfP process as a way to quickly get something out the door, but if you're ready to launch it with Easy Chair, and you're confident that submissions can be reviewed quickly, that could work too. I think the most important thing now is to get the CfP out as soon as possible.--Eloquence 00:14, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Hi, could you please move Submissions/Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects as a Learning Aid in Secondary Education in Slovenia (an example from the Polish history) to the correct title Submissions/Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects as a Learning Aid in Secondary Education (with an example from Slovenia)? Thanks. --Amazone7 15:30, 22 May 2010 (UTC)
