Abstract
Wikimedia sites have historically used ad-hoc methods designed around editable pages for discussing articles. In my presentation, I will be showing the new system that I have been working on with the support of the Wikimedia Foundation. Called LiquidThreads, the new system allows the replacement of existing talk pages with "real" forums, and has all of the advantages of more technologically structured discussion systems. It's been deployed on English Wikinews, the Strategic Planning Wiki, and in other places in the Wikimedia universe.
