Abstract (please use no less than 300 words to describe your proposal)
Poop patrol is a new initiative to improve content quality on a wiki. Using a combination of safe phrase filters and safe page lists it enables three new quality filters to be run on wiki.
  1. A typo patrol focussing on easily confused words that spellcheckers accept as valid.
  2. A vandalism backstop for "poop" and similar vandalism that has not been picked up by recent changes patrol and watchlisting.
  3. Serious abuse words and phrases
The safe phrases and pages enable a bot to list currently unpatrolled pages containing the suspect word or phrase.
Currently poop patrol is being alpha tested on EN wiki, but the methodology and code may be of interest to other wikis even if the particular words and phrases are language dependant.
