Abstract (please use no less than 300 words to describe your proposal)
Wikipedia has the potential to demonstrate public interest (and potentially opinions) by display a summary of visitors to a topic. Basic demographics such as topic visitors by nationality, age, sex creates a living survey of public interest at a point in time. If you add the ability to store opinion unobtrusively you cultivate expression and foster democracy. Commercially, these statistics may have a value that could help meet the costs of running the Wikipedia site.
